Carowinds to hire more than 2,100 workers
Carowinds is now accepting job applications and conducting on-site interviews for the 2010 season.
The park will hire more than 2,100 workers this year, officials said Wednesday. The jobs pay between $6.50 and $11 an hour, depending on an applicant's tenure and the nature of the work, said park spokeswoman Danielle Swords.
The 122-acre amusement and water park is looking to fill jobs in all departments -- food and beverage, rides, games, merchandise, admissions, marketing, aquatics, security, warehouse, cash services and guest services.
Applicants must be at least 15 years old and report to the employment office on Catawba Trace Boulevard Monday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Interviews will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. An online application must be filled out in advance at www.jobs4fun.com.
Carowinds opens on Saturday, March 27, for its 38th season.
