Lifeway Christian book store removed a particular Bible, which was published by B&H Publishing Group, because it was sold with the stipulation that $1 from each sale would go to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Why? The foundation funds Planned Parenthood breast cancer programs. (Read more)

Black girl banned from pool due to her hair products

A white landlord in Ohio is seeking the reversal of a decision made by the state civil rights commission that she violated state policy by posting a “Whites Only” sign at a duplex swimming pool. Jamie Hein says she posted the sign because a black teenager using the pool put chemicals in her hair that would make the pool “cloudy.” (Read more)

A dirty boy

By now you’ve probably heard that former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky has admitted to showering with young boys, but his reasons are even more shocking. Sandusky, who is facing more than 50 felony counts of sexual abuse, says he was trying to teach the boys “basic hygiene skills.” According to his lawyer, “People who work with troubled youth will tell you there are a lot of juvenile delinquents… who have to be taught basic life skills like how to put soap on their body." NFL player arrested in undercover drug bust

Chicago Bears’ wide receiver Samuel Hurd, 26, has been arrested and charged with conspiring to distribute cocaine, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced Thursday. Agents say Hurd was arrested after a five-month investigation that began in Dallas. Hurd is accused of trying to set up a drug distribution network in Chicago. (Read more)

Facebook launches new timeline feature

Facebook's new timeline design, which was announced in September, is available worldwide. "It's a way to tell all the important stories from your life on a single page," Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said. (Read more)
