Police are investigating a Christmas morning stabbing in northwest Charlotte that left a female victim dead.

The stabbing occurred in a boarding house in the 2500 block of Booker Avenue, west of Beatties Ford Road near Brookshire Freeway. The incident was reported at 12:34 a.m.

Police did not immediately release the victim’s name pending positive identification and notification of relatives.

Police suspect a man who met them outside the house may have stabbed the female. He and others inside the house were taken to police headquarters for questioning.
