Everybody knows that CIAA week in Charlotte is about more than basketball. So without further ado, here is a list of parties and off-court events.

Tuesday, Feb. 23
CIAA African American Heritage Segway Tour of Charlotte. Explore Charlotte’s African American History on a Segway. This tour will have limited capacity. Includes museum fees and lunch. 2 p.m. Feb. 23-Feb. 27. $80 per person (includes entrance fee to museums along the tour).
CIAA African American Heritage Tour. Explore the history of African Americans in Charlotte from the Revolutionary War to present day. This tour includes entrance to the museums and lunch. 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 24-27. $80.

2010 CIAA Ford Fan Experience – Bank of America Day. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Charlotte Convention Center, Hall C.
Thursday, Feb. 25
Pink Groove 5. The Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Rho Psi Omega Chapter present Pink Groove 5. The Forum 300 N. College St. Music by DJ Stacey Blackman. Dress code: Sophisticated, city chic (no athletic attire).Tickets $35 in advance; VIP tickets $75 in advance. A Portion of the proceeds benefit the Rho Psi Omega Scholarship Fund. CIAA Old School Weekend Party. A meet and greet is 1 p.m.-2 a.m. Feb. 25. Free parking. CIAA Yadkin Valley Wine Tour. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Take a break from the tournament and explore Yadkin Valley wine country. Visit three of Yadkin Valley’s finest wineries. Price includes transportation and tasting fees. Meals are separate. $100 per person (Discount available for seven or more people).
