CMS board to discuss equity and diversity at two August sessions
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg school board will hold two work sessions this month – Aug. 3 and 10 -- to discuss how the principles of equity and diversity will shape the district for years to come.
The sessions are part of a broader process in which board members will adopt a set of principles that will guide policy in areas such as transportation, student assignment, magnet lottery and district operations.
The Aug. 3 session will be held at the CMS Leadership Academy (7920 Neal Road) at 2 p.m. A second work session is scheduled for Aug. 10 at the Government Center room 267 at 1 p.m.
Both meetings are open to the public.
