A DWI checkpoint netted 20 arrests Thursday night on various charges.

The checkpoint at Remount Road near I-77 lasted from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. and was a joint effort between the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and other state and regional law enforcement agencies.

Here’s a breakdown of results:

DWI charges -- 9

Under 21 DWI Charges -- 3

Total DWI Charges- 12

Driving with license revoked -- 7

No Operator's License - 7

Open Container -- 2

Possession of alcohol under age -- 8

Drug Charges -- 5

Other Citations (tags, insurance, etc.) -- 16

Seat Belt – 5

Drug -- 5

Warrants served -- 8

Total Charges -- 67

Arrests made:
DWI -- 9

Resist, obstruct and delay - 2

Possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana -- 1

Warrants -- 4

Possession of Hydrocodone -- 1
