East Charlotte shooting leaves 1 dead, 1 injured
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a double shooting in east Charlotte that left one man dead and another with life-threatening injuries.
Police did not immediately release the names of the victims and said the shootings did not appear to be random acts.
CMPD received a call for service at 3:58 p.m. When officers arrived at the location in the 4900 block of Endolwood Road, they found two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds inside an apartment.
Both were taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where one was pronounced dead in the emergency room.
Police did not list a motive in the shooting but said the victims and suspects knew one another.
