E. Charlotte shooting leaves two injured
Police are investigating a double shooting in east Charlotte early Sunday.
Officers were called to the 900 block of Van Every Street just after 4 a.m. Upon arrival they found two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Their names were not immediately released pending family notification.
One subject drove to Carolinas Medical Center-Main and was reported to have non-life threatening injuries. The second subject was shot in the back and was listed Sunday morning in critical condition at Carolinas Medical Center-Main.
Initial witness statements indicate that the shooting occurred outside during a house party, police said.
