Good Morning! Today, the weatherman is calling for a few clouds with highs in the low 80‘s.

Here’s what’s brewing in the news:

FBI nabs fugitive after 41 years on the run

George Wright, who is accused of carrying out one of the most brazen hijackings in U.S. history, was arrested this week after more than four decades on the run.

Wright, now 68, was detained in Portugal, where he was living under the alias Jose Luis Jorge dos Santos with his wife and two children, who are now in their 20‘s.

In 1970, Wright and three other inmates escaped from a New Jersey prison. At the time, Wright was serving a 15 to 30 year sentence for slaying a gas station attendant during a robbery in 1962.

Two years later, Wright, four other adults and three children - including Wright’s companion and child - are accused of hijacking a Delta flight en route to Miami from Detroit. Authorities say Wright and his accomplices demanded one million dollars in exchange for the hostages. They stipulated that the ransom - the largest of its kind at the time - be delivered by FBI agents clad only in bathing suits.

The hijackers then demanded the plane be flown to Algeria, where they hoped for asylum. Within four years, all of the hijackers had been arrested, except for Wright who remained at large. Proceedings are underway for Wright’s extradition to the United States.

Stare into the heavens, breathe deeply, and say…Give Me a %#!@$!! Break!!! Others are more sympathetic. QUESTION: If someone sent you one of these cards after you were laid off, would you be encouraged or annoyed? (Read more

Michael Jackson manslaughter trail day 2

On the second day of Dr. Conrad Murray's manslaughter trial, Michael Jackson's personal assistant testified about the strange requests Murray made just moments after Jackson was pronounced dead. Jackson’s brother Jermaine called Murray “shady” and says the doctor was “looking guilty” the day they met at the hospital. Watch and discuss:
