A Harding University High School student told administrators she was sexually assaulted inside a school bathroom after classes ended for the day.

The student said the alleged assault happened after school on Wednesday.It was reported to administrators the next day.

A male student, who was not identified because he is a juvenile, was arrested, police said. School officials told the Charlotte Observer that he would likely be charged with second-degree sex offense and second-degree kidnapping. He also will face discipline by CMS.

Harding's principal sent an automated message to parents Thursday about the incident.
The alleged assault came a day after CMS officials reported that they disciplined two middle school students for a sex assault on a 14-year-old girl on a school bus leaving James G. Martin Middle School.
