Janine Davis, a veteran radio personality and producer/co-host of the popular No Limit Larry and the Morning Madhouse show, is leaving Power 98 (WPEG-FM).

In an email to friends and associates, Davis said Friday’s show was her last, noting that CBS, which owns the station, had opted not to renew her contract.

“God has really prepared me,” she said in the email. “Its something I've known was going to happen eventually for the past year, and as I've shared with some of you, I'm ready to begin the next chapter of my life and I'm so excited!!”

Davis said she would continue to work closely with WPEG on some future projects. She’s also executive director of Girl Talk Foundation, a Charlotte-based nonprofit she founded in 2003 to mentor and empower girls.

Davis began her career as an assistant editor and morning show producer at WGHP-TV in High Point. She made a shift to radio as news and public affairs director at WJMH-FM (102 JAMZ) in Greensboro and later as afternoon anchor and reporter for WRAL-FM in Raleigh.

In Charlotte, Davis worked as a consultant with the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show on WBAV-FM before joining WPEG as a producer/co-host.
