Black women not as attractive as they think?

Good Morning! Hopefully you enjoyed your holiday yesterday, but now it's time for most of us to get back to work.
Today, the weatherman is calling for a mix of sunshine and clouds with a high of 97°.
Here's what is brewing in the news this morning:
Black women not as attractive as they think?
Earlier this month, the popular magazine Psychology Today published an article on its website by Satoshi Kanazawa titled “Why Are Black Women Less Physically Attractive Than Other Women?"
The controversial article made several startling claims. Based on a study, it concluded that “black women are objectively less physically attractive than other women" yet "subjectively consider themselves to be far more physically attractive than others."
Of course, there was some backlash by those who found the article offensive. Editors first changed the title, then retracted the article from the website in its entirety and issued an apology.
Kanazawa, who is a professor at the London School of Economics, is now under investigation by the school after the student union unanimously voted to dismiss him.

Slain teen's adopted brother ordered back to prison
Many may remember the name Tiffany Wright. In September 2009, the 15-year-old was fatally shot one morning while waiting for her school bus to arrive. At the time, she was
8 months pregnant and a student at Hawthorne High School.
This week, a federal appeals court upheld a decision to send her adopted brother Royce Mitchell back to prison after determining that he likely had sex with Wright.
Mitchell wasn't convicted of a crime against Wright, but a U.S. chief district judge deemed his sexual relationship with the teen violated terms of his 2007 release from federal prison, reports the Charlotte Observer. Mitchell was ordered back to prison for 2 1/2 years.
Prior to her death, Wright told a detective that she had sex with Mitchell and believed that he was the father of her baby.

Beware the weed
This summer, the U.S. Forest Service is warning hikers and others to be car
eful if they find marijuana growing on federal land.
According to the agency, hoses or drip lines in unusual places, trails in odd locations and armed people out of hunting season are all signs of marijuana growing.
Foresters advise those who suspect they have located a marijuana field to note a landmark or GPS coordinate and leave immediately. Authorities should be notified later from a safe place.
