A federal judge has set Dec. 8 as the sentencing date for Charlotte pastors Anthony and Harriet Jinwright.

The husband-wife team was convicted in May on multiple counts related to tax evasion. The couple will go before U.S. District Judge Frank Whitney, who earlier delayed their sentencings.

Bishop Anthony Jinwright, pastor of Greater Salem City of God, was convicted on 13 counts, including conspiracy, tax evasion and filing false tax returns. Harriet Jinwright was convicted on four counts – one for conspiracy and three for tax evasion.

Since his conviction, Anthony Jinwright has been detained in the Mecklenburg jail awaiting sentencing. He faces up to 53 years in prison. Harriet Jinwright, who faces up to 20 years, was allowed to remain free.

Their sentencings are scheduled for 9 a.m. in Courtroom 1.
