Police are investigating a Saturday morning stabbing in north Charlotte that left one man dead and another injured.

The incident happened at about 1:42 a.m. in a parking lot of the Woodland Hollow Apartments on Dove Tree Lane, just off N. Tryon Street.

Neither victim was immediately identified.

Police report that one man died at the scene and another was treated at Carolinas Medical Center for injuries described as non-life threatening.

Several people who may have witnessed the stabbings were taken to police headquarters for questioning. Police say a small, gray car was seen leaving the scene, occupied by at least one Hispanic male.
