Matt Harris and Ramona Holloway, co-hosts of the nationally syndicated Matt & Ramona Show, recently won a Gracie Allan Award for Outstanding Comedy.

The annual award is given by the Alliance for Women in Media (formerly American Women in Radio & Television).

Holloway accepted the award at the 35th Annual Gracie Awards Gala held on Tuesday, May 25, in Beverly Hills. Harris also attended.

The award marked the second straight year the duo has been honored for outstanding comedy. Their show is broadcast from WLNK (107.9 the LINK) in Charlotte.

Their winning entry, “Ramona Meets Jimmy Carter,” centered on Holloway’s less-than-memorable encounter with her idol, the former President.

Ce Scott, creative director at the McColl Center for Visual Art, has been named to the same post at the Harvey B. Gantt Center. She will split her time between the two locations, creating a shared vision for both.

The joint position is said to be a first in Charlotte’s arts community.

Gantt Center President and CEO David Taylor said the partnership has “extraordinary possibilities,” allowing each organization to leverage its unique qualities and extend its educational programs and community outreach.

Scott, a Detroit native, has worked at the McColl Center since it opened 10 years ago.
