Mayor Foxx named to advisory board
Mayor Anthony Foxx has been appointed to the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM)

Advisory Board of the Executive Committee.
The announcement was made Monday following the group’s 79th annual meeting, which was held this past weekend in Baltimore.
Also named to the advisory board was Columbia, S.C., Mayor Stephen K. Benjamin.
The board consists of USCM members who have actively advocated policy on Capitol Hill and at the White House. The board also represents the nation in diversity.

"It was an honor to be nominated, and I look forward to serving on the advisory board," Foxx said in a statement. "It's a confirmation of the hard work we've put in to promote small business issues at the national level, and I look forward to doing more."
The Conference of Mayors is a nonpartisan group representing U.S. cities with populations of 30,000 or more. There are 1,210 such cities, each represented in the conference by its mayor.
