Magic Johnson made headlines this week when he sold his minority stake in both the Los Angeles Lakers and 105 Starbucks coffee shops.

The deals netted Magic a reported $100 million.

I have a suggestion for Magic and his money: Why not team up with Michael Jordan and become sole owners of the Charlotte Bobcats?

Think about it, Magic, the two of you together.

E=MC²

You don’t have to be Albert Einstein or understand the theory of relativity to know that Magic & Michael (M) x both Carolinas  (C²) = Excellence (E).

Magic has five championship rings; Michael six. How great would it be for the Bobcats to have arguably the greatest point and shooting guards in NBA history as owners?

Magic and Michael are winners. I believe they would transfer their desire to win, their competitive natures and their “heart” to any team they co-owned.

Rumor has it that Magic is interested in buying a professional sports franchise – maybe his hometown Detroit Pistons or bringing football back to Los Angeles. (No, it won’t be the Panthers.)

Let’s hope, instead, that Jordan can broker a deal to bring a little “magic” to our Charlotte Bobcats. Remember, dreams can come true.
