Moore gets promotion at Cabarrus DSS
Deborah Moore, of Charlotte was recently promoted to placement services program
manager at the Cabarrus County Department of Social Services (DSS).
Mrs. Moore has been with DSS since 1999 and has held a variety of positions, ranging from social work investigator to supervisor of the Intensive Family Services Unit. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from North Carolina A&T State University and a Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia.
In her new role, Mrs. Moore will be responsible for managing foster care and adoption units, as well as the LINKS coordinator, Community Specialized Services Technicians (CSST) and the home studies social worker.
She will work closely with the court system, guardian ad litem, court liaison, and county’s legal staff to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and permanence for children who have been placed in the agency’s custody.
Mrs. Moore says she is grounded in her Christian faith and trusts the Lord with each new role and experience she encounters. She is a licensed minister at the Park Church under the leadership of Bishop Claude R. Alexander Jr.
