Gaston County pastor sentenced in abuse case

Keith Devon Pettis, the former pastor of New Life Christian Center in Lowell, NC, was found guilty of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl and sentenced to between 20 and 24 ½ years in prison.

When Pettis, who is now 44, was arrested for the crime in August 2009, many members of his family and his church rallied around him in support, as seen in this NewsChannel 36 report which aired in December 2009.
