Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry was seriously injured today in north Charlotte after falling from the back of a pickup truck during a domestic dispute with his fiance.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, Henry, 26, was found in the 1100 block of Oakdale Road "apparently suffering life-threatening injuries." He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where his condition was not immediately known.

Police said Henry jumped into the bed of the pickup as his unidentified fiance was driving away from a home. The domestic dispute continued and, at some point, Henry fell from then truck.

Henry has been involved in legal troubles during his NFL career, include arrests for DWI, marijuana possession and assault.

Henry broke his left forearm during a win over Baltimore on Nov. 8 and was placed on season-ending injured reserve after surgery.
