No, that's not Stephen Curry
Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx and Davidson Mayor John Woods played a
friendly game of C-E-N-S-U-S at Davidson College’s Belk Arena Tuesday
morning. The horseplay on the basketball court was their way of
helping to make a serious point: Residents should take a few minutes
to fill out their forms to ensure that our area is properly counted and
gets the federal dollars it deserves.
Foxx is a 1993 graduate of Davidson.
Census forms began arriving in the mail last week. Local leaders who are working to promote the Census say $400 billion in federal funding is at stake.
"So many resources and so many decisions that affect your every day
life are bound up in the count," Mayor Foxx said Tuesday.
