Here’s what’s brewing this morning in the news:

Obama: Michelle and the girls would be fine with one term
President Barack Obama admits there are days when he feels like throwing in the towel after just one term in office, and if he did so, his family would be just fine with the decision.

“What keeps me going is a belief that the work that we started in 2009 is not yet complete,” the president told NBC "Today Show" host Ann Curry in an interview filmed earlier this week in North Carolina.

Obama revealed that his family isn't necessarily as "invested" in his 2012 re-election campaign, but they believe in the work he is doing.

He also commented on the recovery of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

QUESTION: Would you be satisfied with Obama serving just one term? Or are you looking forward to four more years?

LAPD questions Shaq about kidnapping, robbery and sex tape case
About a week after announcing his retirement on Twitter, NBA star Shaquille O'Neal is now embroiled in a criminal case in which 7 gang members allegedly kidnapped, beat up and robbed a man in LA, reports TMZ.

According to the report, on February 11, 2008, Ladell Rowles, who is an alleged member of the Main Street Mafia Crip Gang and one of Shaq’s friends, and 6 other men met up with a man named Robert Ross, who claimed to have a video of Shaq cheating on his ex-wife Shaunie O’Neal.

When the seven men ran into Ross at a convenience store in LA, they allegedly surrounded his Rolls Royce Phantom with guns drawn. Police say the men jumped into Ross' car and ordered him to drive to Rowles' house in South Central L.A.

Once there, Ross was allegedly pistol whipped and robbed before being let go.

The 7 men have been arrested and charged with robbery, kidnapping and other crimes. They are currently in the middle of a preliminary hearing and being held in jail.

According to TMZ, LAPD detectives interviewed Shaq to determine what, if any, involvement he had in the alleged crimes. When the case file went to the D.A. Shaq was not listed as a suspect.
