Here’s what’s brewing in the news:

Obama’s “God-less” address

President Barack Obama’s Thanksgiving-themed weekly address has caused some on controversy. He’s not under fire for something he said. The issue is more about what he didn’t say. After doing so in 2009 and 2010, this year the president didn’t mention God. In the following clip, he celebrates the troops and the community. Many critics took to twitter and online blogs calling Obama a militant atheist, a turkey, and one called him a “proponent of separatist multiculturalism and its inherent disruption of progress toward a unified American and the common good.” Fox Radio commentator Todd Starnes wrote, “His remarks were void of any religious references although Thanksgiving is a holiday traditionally steeped in giving thanks and praise to God.” What do you think?

Black Friday shopper goes into rage

The day after Thanksgiving - also known as Black Friday - is serious, serious business. Every year, it seems, there are countless stories about shoppers who take things a little too serious. Some these incidents have even been fatal. This year, shoppers had even longer to indulge in the madness, as Black Friday official began on Thanksgiving Thursday. Wal-Mart rolled out special prices at 10 p.m. on Thursday. One store near Los Angeles was barely open 10 minutes before chaos ensued, reports the Los Angeles Times. Police say about at least seven people were injured after a female customer went into a rage and used pepper spray on other shoppers.
