FRIDAY
ROBBERY: A black man robbed a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint in the 8000 block of Creek Drive around 9:30 p.m. and ran away. No injuries reported.

ASSAULT W/ DEADLY WEAPON: Two Hispanic men came into a victim’s home in the 5000 block of Victoria Avenue around 8 p.m. and robbed the occupants at gunpoint. One of the occupants was shot and taken to CMC with serious injuries.

ASSAULT W/ DEADLY WEAPON: A probation officer had shots fired at them but was not struck by the bullets in the 9000 block of Shadowood Drive close to 5 p.m. After a car chase the shooter was arrested near Freeland Drive.

DEATH: A victim was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in the 3000 block of Park Road at 4:40 p.m.

ROBBERY: A light-skinned black man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt robbed a business in the 6000 block of The Plaza at 11:40 a.m. and drove away in a possible Kia minivan. He was described as a short man with facial hair and tattoos on the left side of his neck. He was later arrested.

BOMB THREAT: A bomb threat was called in to Bright Horizons Daycare in the 6000 block of IBM Drive around 10:45 a.m. The building was evacuated and all the children were safe and accounted for. UPDATE: At 12:30 p.m., no suspicious devices or packages were found.

SEXUAL ASSAULT: A victim’s mother reported that her child was sexually assaulted by another young child possibly at school in the 72000 block of Highland Creek Parkway. The incident was reported just after midnight. Officers are investigating.

ROBBERY: A 16-year-old and another juvenile were arrested for tampering with a vehicle in the 4000 block of North Graham Street just after midnight.
THURSDAY
ROBBERY: The Advance Auto Parts store in the 4000 block of North Tryon Street was robbed this morning at 7:30 a.m. One robber was described as tall, armed with a gun and wore a mask. The other was described as short with dreads and wore a black hooded sweatshirt with black pants.
 WEDNESDAY
ROBBERY: A victim was robbed of half his money when occupants in a white sedan pointed a gun at him to make him come to the car. The robbery occurred in the 100 block of East Hill Street around 11:45 p.m. and there were no injuries. The driver of the sedan was arrested later and the robbery evidence collected.

DEATH: A 20-year-old was found dead of apparent natural causes in the 9000 block of Back Acre Drive at 9:50 p.m.

ROBBERY: Three black men in dark clothing robbed a victim at gunpoint in the 200 block of Orchard Tree Lane around 6:45 p.m. They drove away in a gray, older model Ford Crown Victoria. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: A black man robbed the SunTrust Bank in the 4000 block of Park Road at 9:30 a.m. and ran away. He was described as 5’7”, 165 pounds, and light complexion with a tattoo on the left side of his neck. He also had a goatee and wore black gloves, a black toboggan and a black coat.

SEXUAL ASSAULT: A victim’s mother reported that an adult neighbor sexually assaulted her teenage son in the 3000 block of Westwinds Court around 12:30 a.m. Officers made in arrest in this case.
 TUESDAY
ROBBERY: A black man robbed a victim of his car while he was filling it with gas close to midnight in the 2000 block of Freedom Drive. Officers later found the car, but the robber was not arrested.

ROBBERY: A black man wearing a white T-shirt and jeans robbed a victim at gunpoint around 11 p.m. in the 7000 block of The Plaza. He stole the victim’s Mitsubishi and drove away in it. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: Two black men robbed a victim at gunpoint in the 3000 block of Wilkinson Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. One man wore a white hooded sweatshirt and jeans and the other wore all black. The men drove away in a blue car with another black man. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: A white man robbed a victim at knifepoint in the 9000 block of South Boulevard around 9 p.m. and ran away. He was described as having a beard and last seen wearing a red T-shirt and jeans. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: A white man wearing a T-shirt, red baseball hat and jeans physically assaulted and robbed a victim in the 7000 block of Forest Point Boulevard around 7:45 p.m. He drove away in an older model sedan. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: A Hispanic man robbed a victim at gunpoint in the 6000 block of Nations Ford Road around 6 p.m. and ran away. He was unshaven and last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: A black man dressed in a blue warm-up suit and baseball hat robbed a victim at gunpoint in the 600 block of North Caldwell Street around 5:30 p.m. and ran away. No injuries reported.

SEXUAL ASSAULT: Two black men attacked a woman from behind as she was walking along the light rail tracks in the 200 block of East 5th Street around 3:30 a.m. The men tore at her clothes and sexually assaulted her. The victim took herself to the hospital and was unable to give any description of her attackers.

ASSAULT W/ DEADLY WEAPON: Three black men attacked a victim in the 1000 block of Hoskins Road around 3 a.m. One man asked the victim for a cigarette and when the victim did not have any, the attacker walked away. He came back with two other black men, pulled the victim’s sweatshirt over his head and cut him with a razor. The victim does not know the attackers and had no property taken. He ran away and was treated for minor wounds at the hospital.
 MONDAY
ROBBERY: Two black men in black hooded sweatshirts robbed a victim at gunpoint in the 3000 block of Monroe Road around 10:45 p.m. and ran away. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: Two black men took a victim’s wallet in the 3000 block of West Boulevard around noon and were last seen possibly running towards Little Rock Apartments. One man wore a gold-colored coat with a fur hooded sweatshirt. The other man was described as wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: A 13-year-old was struck by a car while running across the street in the 10000 block of Ardrey Kell Road around 7 a.m. and taken to CMC-Main with non-life threatening injuries.
 SUNDAY
ROBBERY: A black man robbed the Spring Hill Suites in the 3000 block of Scott Futrell Drive at 11 p.m. at gunpoint and drove away in an unknown car. He shot at the security guard but no one was injured. He was described as having dreadlocks and last seen wearing a baseball hat, jeans and a black bandana over his face.

ROBBERY: A black man robbed the McDonalds in the 8000 block of J.M. Keynes Boulevard around 9:45 p.m. and drove away in a gold Ford Explorer with three other black men. The man was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, black hooded sweatshirt and a clear mask. No weapon was seen

ROBBERY: Two black men robbed a victim at gunpoint in the 3000 block of Timber Hollow Drive around 9:30 p.m. No injuries reported.

DEATH: A 94-year-old woman died in the 4000 block of Looking Glass Lane around 8 p.m. of natural causes.
SATURDAY
ROBBERY: Four Hispanic men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a victim walking in the 6000 block of Rumple Road around 6 a.m. and drove away in a small, dark SUV.

ROBBERY: An armed Hispanic man punched and robbed a victim in the 3000 block of Central Avenue around 6 a.m. During the robbery he fired his gun into the ground and drove away in a gray or blue Ford Expedition or Explorer with several more Hispanic men.

ROBBERY: Two black men physically assaulted and robbed a victim of his wallet in the 600 block of Remount Road around 1 a.m. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: Three Hispanic men robbed a victim at gunpoint of his cell phone in the 4000 block of John Penn Circle around 12:15 a.m. and drove away in a dark-colored SUV.
 FRIDAY
ROBBERY: A black man asked a victim for his money and when the victim gave it to him he started fighting with the robber before he ran away. The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. in the 4000 block of South Tryon Street. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: A black man approached a victim as he was walking in the 6000 block of Idlewild Road around 11 p.m., demanded the victim’s money and ran away.

ROBBERY: A man was getting something out of his trunk around 9 p.m. at the Central Station Nightclub in the 2000 block of Central Avenue when a black man approached him and demanded his backpack. He hit the victim with the gun, dropped it and ran to a small, tan or taupe-colored SUV. Officers stopped a tan Geo Tracker nearby related to the robbery and recovered the gun. The victim received a minor injury.

ROBBERY: Two black men, one armed with a handgun, approached a Hispanic man as he was getting out of his car to go home in the 6000 block of Idlewild Road around 7:45 p.m. They took his money and cell phone and struck him in the head with the gun and ran away. One man was described as 6 feet tall and wore a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and was armed with a handgun. The other man was described as 5’3”, small build and wore a black T-shirt and dark pants. The victim suffered a minor injury.

ROBBERY: Two men followed a Hispanic woman as she was walking in the 1000 block of Sharon Road West around 7:30 p.m. One man walked in front of the woman to talk to her and then struck her in the face knocking her to the ground. They took her purse and ran away and one man was later arrested. The victim suffered minor injuries to her face and her property was recovered.

DEATH INVESTIGATION: A 42-year-old woman was found dead in a locked apartment in the 7000 block of Providence Square Drive around 6:30 p.m. There were no apparent signs of trauma and no reports of her medical history. Officers are investigating.

ROBBERY: A black man cut a woman in the public area of a business in the 3000 block of Central Avenue around 3:40 p.m. The man was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and a white shirt with a salt-and-pepper-colored beard. No description of the second man is available. The men were in an older green Honda Accord last seen heading towards Central Avenue. Officers are investigating.

ROBBERY: A group of 6-7 men physically assaulted and robbed a victim in the 4000 block of Central Avenue at 4:15 a.m. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries at CMC.

ROBBERY: A black man robbed a victim of cash in the 6000 block of North Tryon Street at 4:05 a.m. and ran away. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: A black man armed with a handgun robbed the Towneplace Suites Hotel located in the 7000 block of Forest Point Boulevard at 1:25 a.m. and ran away. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: Three armed black men forced their way into an apartment in the 9000 block of Campus Walk Lane just after midnight and tried to rob the residents. The incident is believed to be drug-related. No injuries reported.
 THURSDAY
ROBBERY: A white man robbed a victim at gunpoint in the 2000 block of East 7th Street around 11 p.m. and drove away in a blue car. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: A black man robbed the Hardee’s Restaurant in the 2000 block of Little Rock Road at 10 p.m. through the drive thru window. He then jumped into a burgundy SUV and drove away. No shots fired or injuries reported.

MISSING PERSON: A 7-year-old boy ran out of his house before being disciplined for writing on the walls. Officers searched the area and found the boy hiding in the next door neighbor’s bushes at 9:30 p.m. unharmed. The incident occurred in the 10000 block of Creswell Court at 8:50 p.m.

ASSAULT W/ DEADLY WEAPON: A man was taken to Presbyterian Matthews Hospital for a stab injury to his arm. The incident was reported in the 5000 block of Monroe Road around 8:30 p.m. Officers are investigating.

ROBBERY: A black man hit a Hispanic man in the face as he was leaving a convenience store in the 1000 block of Milton Road around 8:30 p.m. A second black man took money from the victim’s hands and they ran away. The victim suffered minor injuries to his face.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: A victim was struck by a car at North Tryon and Highway 29 around 7 p.m. The victim is unresponsive and suffered from head and facial injuries. North Tryon is blocked and traffic is being directed onto Rock River Road.

SUSPICIOUS ITEM: Workers found a suspicious package inside a drop box in the 28000 block of Yorkmont Road around 4 p.m. The bomb squad and fire department examined the package and discarded it.

BREAKING/ENTERING: Three black men broke into a home while the residents were there and ran away. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the 11000 block of Woffington Court. They were arrested after a perimeter search.

ROBBERY: Two armed black men came into a victim’s home in the 900 block of Key Street close to 4 a.m. and held them at gunpoint. They took several items from the home and left. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: A black man armed with a handgun robbed the Petro Express in the 2000 block of South Tryon Street around 3:45 a.m. and ran away. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: Two masked black men robbed the Waffle House in the 8000 block of Hankins Road at 1:25 a.m. and fired several rounds inside the business before leaving. No injuries reported.

 WEDNESDAY
ROBBERY: Two black men robbed a victim at gunpoint in the 1000 block of Grace Lane around 11:45 p.m. and ran away.

ROBBERY: Two black men robbed a victim at gunpoint in the 400 block of Hilo Drive around 11:30 p.m. and drove away in a white car.

FIGHT: About 50 people were fighting in front of an apartment complex in the 3000 block of Hassem Court around 7 p.m. Three people were arrested during the incident and an officer received a minor knee injury during the arrests.

ROAD BLOCK: A water main break occurred in the 2000 block of Runnymede Lane around 6 p.m. and the road is closed for overnight work. One lane of Runnymede is open in the direction from the Southpark area.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: A police car was in an accident on Monroe and Rama Roads close to 6 p.m. Another car struck the police car but no injuries were reported.

ROBBERY: Someone broke through a secured door and threatened a hotel clerk in the 4000 block of Sunset Road around 5 a.m. They took money from the drawer and ran away. Officers were unable to track the robber. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: Two black men, armed with handguns, got out of a red Ford Focus and robbed a victim at gunpoint of cash on Beatties Ford Road at Lasalle Street close to 1 a.m. No injuries reported.
 TUESDAY
ROBBERY: A victim was shot once in the upper leg after three black men tried to rob them on West Trade and North Pine Streets around 9:30 p.m. They were in a dark blue late 1990s model sedan and one man was described as thin, had a light complexion and short dreadlocks. The victim took themselves to Presbyterian Hospital for a non-life threatening injury.

ROBBERY: A black man with a box cutter robbed the Circle K in the 1000 block of East Arbors Drive around 9 p.m. and ran away. He was last seen wearing a gold jacket, red T-shirt, baseball hat and jeans. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: A victim was robbed as she was getting out of her cab by someone she knew. The person pushed her into the car, took an envelope with money in it and ran away. The incident occurred in the 3000 block of Markland Drive at 12:40 a.m. No injuries reported.
 MONDAY
SEXUAL ASSAULT: An acquaintance of the victim forced her to have sex with him and took her Honda Accord. The incident occurred in the 14000 block of Polk Street around 10:45 p.m. The victim did not suffer any serious injuries.

SEXUAL ASSAULT: A victim reported that someone had sex with her in March 2008 without her consent. The incident was reported from the 6000 block of Judas Tree Lane around 9:30 p.m.

MISCELLANEOUS: A victim shot themselves in the leg causing a non-life threatening injury. The incident occurred in the 7000 block of Causeway Drive close to 9 p.m.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: A police car was in a minor accident in the 100 block of Red Roof Drive around 7 p.m. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: A black man robbed a victim at gunpoint in the 3000 block of Freedom Drive close to 7 p.m. The robber made the victim drive him to another location and ran away. He was described as having a thin beard and wore a blue hat, blue sweatshirt and jeans. No injuries reported.

ASSAULT W/ DEADLY WEAPON: A victim was shot at by someone they knew in the 7000 block of Barrington Drive around 6:30 p.m. The victim was not struck but their car was damaged during the shooting. This is a domestic-related incident.

ROBBERY: Two black men wearing all black clothing tried to rob the Freedom Business Center in the 3000 block of Freedom Drive around 1:50 a.m. They were unable to get anything and ran away. One of the men was described as 5’7” with a thin mustache. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: Two black men wearing black hooded sweatshirts robbed the Pizza Hut in the 3000 block of Mt. Holly Huntersville Road just after 1 a.m. and ran away. One of the employees was shot in the arm which passed through his chest and was taken to CMC with serious injuries. The robbers have not been found.

ROBBERY: A black man robbed the Wendy’s restaurant in the 1000 block of West Sugar Creek Road around 12:30 a.m. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask and black gloves and drove away in a two-door burgundy Ford Explorer with three other black men. No injuries reported.
 SUNDAY
ROBBERY: Two black men robbed a victim at gunpoint of their money and personal items in the 3000 block of Central Avenue around 10 p.m. and ran away towards the woods.

ROBBERY: Two black men robbed a victim at gunpoint of his red Toyota Corolla as he was walking into his apartment in the 6000 block of Bennettsville Lane around 7 p.m.

PUBLIC ACCIDENT: An intoxicated person fell from the second floor of the Epicentre onto the street in the 200 block of East Trade Street around 6 p.m. They became responsive as they were taken to the hospital.

SEXUAL ASSAULT: A victim reported being sexually assaulted by someone they knew early Saturday morning on City Side Drive.

BREAKING/ENTERING: Several people broke into the shed of a victim’s business in the 61000 block of Old Mt. Holly Road close to 2 p.m. They fired a weapon into the air and told the victim to leave the property and the victim fired shots to get the men to leave. When they ran away the victim followed and one was arrest in the 400 block of Toddville Road.

DEATH: An 82-year-old man was found unresponsive in the 10000 block of Bolton Court around 1 p.m. and later died. He was in poor health and suffered from several medical issues.

SEXUAL ASSAULT: A woman was grabbed from behind and taken to a different location without her permission where she said she was sexually assaulted. The incident occurred on West Morehead Street at 8:30 a.m.

DEATH INVESTIGATION: A 3-month-old child suffered a possible cardiac arrest at the Drury Inn in the 400 block of West W.T. Harris Boulevard around 6:30 a.m. The child was taken to CMC-University and died.

ROBBERY: A victim was robbed of their motorcycle at gunpoint in the 1000 block of Ashley Road around 5:30 a.m. The robber was last seen heading towards Tuckaseegee Road. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: Four men, three black and one Hispanic, forced their way into a home in the 2000 block of Morton Street close to 4 a.m. and robbed five residents of money and personal items. The men also sexually assaulted two of the female victims and ran away. No serious injuries reported.

ROBBERY: Three black men robbed victims of their 1996 teal blue Chevy Caprice with 22 inch rims in the 9000 block of Idlewild Road around 3:20 a.m. The victims knew the robbers and were physically assaulted and threatened with a stun gun. No injuries reported.
