Pedestrian stuck by CMS bus
A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools bus on Friday stuck and seriously injured a 28-year-old man who was attempting to cross in the 5900 block of Hickory Grove Road.
Police said the victim, Christopher Marks, was admitted to Carolinas Medical Center in critical condition.
The investigations report did not indicate whether any children were riding the bus at the time of the accident.
According to police, the bus, driven by 45-year-old Joyce Reynell Johnson, was making a left turn onto Hickory Grove Road from Dogwood Place. Marks was struck by the front of the bus and was thrown about 20 feet.
The incident on Saturday was still being investigated.
