Police arrest 3 for 2007 killing
Police arrested three men Wednesday in connection with a 2007 killing that happened at a N. Tryon Street motel.

Arrested were Bobby Johnson, 37, Antonio Lee Chaney, 21 and Joshua Raphael Chaney, 22. Each was charged with murder.
According to police, the men are responsible for killing 49-year-old Anita Jean Rychlik.
Rychlik died from a gunshot wound on May 2, 2007, while staying at the Thrift Motel in the 3700 block of North Tryon Street.
Witnesses told police they saw three suspects approached the hotel’s security guard, later identified as Rychlik’s husband. The suspects allegedly pistol whip the man then forced him into a room he shared with his wife. A gunshot and struggle were heard a short time later before witnesses saw the suspects run from the scene.
When police arrived, they found Rychlik dead.
Police on Wednesday said new information and DNA evidence link the three men to the killing. In addition to murder, they also were charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
They were booked in the Mecklenburg jail without bond.
