3 injured in 2 nightclub shootings
SATURDAY
ROBBERY: A Burger King restaurant in the 8900 block of S. Tryon Street was robbed at 6:47 a.m. Witnesses described the suspects as two black males in their late teens or early 20s. One suspect was wearing a green shirt and jeans; both wore scarves. They fled on foot around the side of the building.

DEATH INVESTIGATION: Police investigated a death in the 5200 block of Spector Drive around 4:45 a.m. No further details were released.

ROBBERY: A victim told police she was robbed by a known black female in the 5200 block of Wayside Court at 2:42 a.m. No injury was reported.

SHOOTING: Two people -- a male and a female -- were shot and wounded at the El Rey Bar in the 14000 block of Eastway Drive just after 2 a.m. The victims were taken to Carolinas Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Police released on further details.

SHOOTING: A victim was shot at Club VOX in the 2400 block of Wilkinson Boulevard just before 1 a.m. The victim was treated at Carolinas Medical Center for injuries described by police as minor. Police released no further details.

ASSAULT/ROBBERY: A victim told police he was assaulted and robbed by two black males in the 600 block of N. Graham Street just before 12:30 a.m. No injury was reported.
FRIDAY
ROBBERY: A man told police he was riding in his vehicle behind the Compare Foods store in the 5500 block of E. Independence Boulevard just after 10 p.m. when he was approached by a black male who had a black handgun. The suspect was wearing a black tank top and black pants. The suspect took cash from the victim and fled on foot. No shots were fired and no injury reported.
