Police have made an arrest in connection with a Christmas slaying in Charlotte.

Police have identified the victim in the case as 48-year-old Carol Moser.

The woman was found suffering from stab wounds at a boarding house on Booker Avenue shortly after midnight on Christmas. MEDIC pronounced her dead at the scene.

Monday afternoon police announced that 65-year-old William Edward Patterson has been charged with murder.

Police say Patterson and Moser were dating.

Patterson is being held without bond at the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office
