Police on Thursday arrested a 20-year-old man and charged him with a killing that occurred earlier this month in uptown Charlotte.

Investigators say Felix Antonio Patton is responsible for the April 6 death of 34-year-old Christopher Lee Satterfield, who was shot in a parking lot at the Cedar Oaks Condominiums on Cates Street in the Gateway Village area.

Satterfield's roommate told police he heard a shot at about 2:15 a.m. and looked out the window to see a man standing over his roommate. But when he ran outside, the man was gone.

Patton, who has been arrested at least four previous times in Mecklenburg County since 2008, was charged with first-degree murder. He was being held without bond in the Mecklenburg jail.

Police did not disclose a potential motive for the killing.
