Police on Friday padlocked a west Charlotte nightclub owned by Curtis Leake, the father of former Independence High School and University of Florida quarterback Chris Leake.

Club VOX was closed under a temporary court order. Neighbors had complained for years about noise and violence associated with the club, located at 2401 Wilkinson Blvd.

A hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 3, in Superior Court.
