Police say homicide victim was 18
Police have identified the victim of a deadly Tuesday night shooting in southwest Charlotte as 18-year-old Tevin Massey.
Massey was shot at about 10:49 p.m. in the 300 block of Benjamin Street.
According to witness statements to police, Massey was in the common area of the South Side Homes when he was approached and shot by a lone black male. No one else was injured.
Witnesses told police the suspect was about 6-feet tall and was wearing black shorts, a black t-shirt and a black baseball cap.
