Police late Wednesday identified two people found dead inside a home in northwest Charlotte as Derrick Antoine Teasley, 32, and Shakendra Nicole Covington, 22.
A CMPD spokeswoman said detectives believe the killings were a case of domestic violence and were not seeking further suspects.
The deaths were reported Wednesday at 12:16 p.m. when a female called police to say she had found two bodies inside a home in the 4900 block of Winchester Street, which is west of Rozzelles Ferry Road near the Thomasboro-Hoskins community.
When officers arrived, they found the two dead from gunshot wounds.

Murder suspect arrested in Arizona
Authorities in Arizona have arrested a man wanted for questioning in connection with a Jan. 25 killing in south Charlotte.
Christopher Paul Huffman, 43, was taken into custody Monday by the Arizona Highway Patrol in Casa Grande. Homicide detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department were en-route to interview Huffman.
A CMPD spokeswoman said Huffman is a suspect in the death of Charles Michael Middleton, 62. Police said Middleton died in the 300 block of Elmhurst Road, near the intersection with South Boulevard, from an apparent gunshot wound.
The CMPD spokeswoman said Huffman and Middleton knew one another, but she did not disclose the nature of their relationship or a motive for the killing.

Suspects arrested after car break-ins
Javaris Jones, 18, was arrested Monday by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and charged with theft from a vehicle.
In the afternoon on Jan. 24 a call was made from 3500 Ellington Drive asking for police assistance. Using evidence and information gathered from the scene, police suspect that Jones damaged the door of a vehicle, entered without permission and stole a wallet and cell phone.
Another car was found damaged in the vicinity but no items were missing.
A warrant for Jones' arrest was signed on Jan. 26 and he is being charged with: breaking and entering a motor vehicle, attempted breaking and entering a motor vehicle, financial transaction card theft, felony conspiracy and misdemeanor larceny. During the arrest, Jones possessed marijuana and is also charged with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance.
Detectives said they later arrested Davontae Johntaevous Walton, 20, as a second suspect in the case.

Home invader spotted in action, arrested by police
Today the Hickory Grove Division of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department arrested Antonio Aguilar, 24, for his involvement in a series of residential break-ins occurring today and on Jan. 25 in the 1100 block of Spring Laurel Drive.
A witness saw Aguilar leaving the scene of crime and called the police. Upon arrival, the witness reported to the officer a description of the suspect and the car he was driving. The officer spotted the suspect's car and performed a vehicle stop. Based on the evidence and information provided by the witness, police arrested Aguilar.
Aguilar was also connected with two additional residential break-ins occurring on Jan. 25 as well as a vehicular break-in and larceny happening at Spring Ridge Lane. He is being charged with three counts of residential breaking and entering, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny and resisting officers.
Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department applaud the role the witness played in this arrest and state, "This case illustrates how critical it is for police and the community to work together."

Missing girl found
Update: Twelve-year-old Keyonna Leak was located unharmed Saturday and reunited with her family, CMPD announced. She had been last seen Jan. 24. Police did not release further details.

Homicide in Westover Division
Police responded to a call concerning an assault with a deadly weapon early Friday and found Charles Michael Middleton, 62, with a gunshot wound in the 300 block of Elmhurst Road in Westover Division.
As a result of his injuries Middleton was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Homicide Unit arrived in the area to begin canvassing the neighborhood but the investigation is in its early stages. A team from Crime Scene Search also responded to the neighborhood to collect physical evidence.

Victim Stabbed, Left in Burning Home
Police and volunteer firefighters arrived on scene early Friday morning and found a stab-wound victim still inside his home at 10345 Walkers Ferry Road with the residence set ablaze.
Freedom Division Officers and the West Mecklenburg Volunteer Fire Department responded to a burglar and fire alarm call. The firefighters searched the house and found the victim inside with stab wounds inflicted.
The victim was transported to CMC-Main and treated for his wounds as well as smoke inhalation.
Detectives determined this was not a random act of violence and are continuing their investigation and search for a suspect.

12-year-old girl reported missing
Reported missing by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Missing Person Unit, Keyonna Leak, 12, was last seen on Jan. 24, 2013 on Woodfield Drive.
Leak is described as a black female, 5'7'' tall, 110 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple and black shirt, black pants and purple/black and white shoes.
