Poll: We like her; we really do
Despite her persistent critics, Michelle Obama continues to enjoy broad public support, a new Pew research poll has found.
Fully 69 percent of the public has a favorable view of the first lady. Just 21 percent have an unfavorable view. Three-quarters of women (75 percent) view Obama favorably, as do 67 percent of independents. Even among Republicans, about as many hold a favorable view (44 percent) as an unfavorable opinion (43 percent).
Since President Barack Obama's inauguration, his wife’s popularity has soared. When Michelle Obama's favorable rating was first tested in May 2008, only 43 percent viewed her favorably, and nearly a third (32 percent) said they could not rate her.
See what the Pew poll found concerning President Obama’s reelection outlook.
Speaking of the first family, have you seen this official White House photo of the Obamas celebrating Easter church services at Shiloh Baptist Church in Washington, D.C.? We can't help but wonder if Malia and Sasha were made to give Easter speeches.
