Kobe’s cheating ways lead to divorce, reports say

According to reports, Vanessa Bryant was aware that her husband, Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, has cheated on her multiple times with multiple women during their 10-year marriage. Although she stood by his side during allegations that he sexually assaulted a Colorado woman, it was a recent affair that reportedly pushed her over the edge. She filed for divorce in an Orange County, Calif. court on Friday. (Read more)

North Korean leader dead

North Korea's longtime leader Kim Jong Il, who was regarded as one of the world's most-repressive leaders, has died. His son is being hailed as the “Great Successor.” Jong was believed to be 69. (Read more)

Is there a link between spandex and obesity?

Some clothing designers blame the increased use of spandex and stretchy material as a standard in today’s clothing industry, for an increase in the average waistline. They say it gives people more leeway to be overweight. (Read more)

Man chops off wife’s fingers 

Rafiqul Islam, 30, is facing life in prison after giving his wife Hawa Akhter, 21, a horrible surprise. After finding out that she was studying for a degree without his permission, Islam reportedly blindfolded his wife to give her a “surprise present.” Police say he chopped off all five of her fingers. Veterans return to scant job as war ends

The end of the war in Iraq was good news for those in the military and their families, but coming home and being unable to find employment, not so much. The unemployment rate for veterans aged 20 to 24 is at 30 percent. Some have turned to selling their plasma to earn some money. (Read more)
