Robbery victim stabbed in neck

ROBBERY: A pedestrian was robbed around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday while walking in the 4300 block of Tuckaseegee Road. The victim told police the suspect indicated that he had a gun and demanded money. The robber fled on foot, and no one was injured.

ROBBERY: A victim was shot in the neck during a robbery Monday night in the 7600 block of Antlers Lane. The incident occurred around 10:19 p.m. The suspect was described as a black male, thin build, wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and dreadlocks. The victim’s injuries were not life threatening.

DEATH INVESTIGATION: A 59-year-old man was found dead Monday evening, apparently of natural causes, at his residence in the 11300 block of Johnston Road.

ASSAULT WITH DEADLY WEAPON: A victim was stabbed Monday afternoon after trying to intervene in a family fight. The incident occurred in the 3500 block of Redstones Road. The injury was not life threatening.

DEATH INVESTIGATION: A mother in the 13700 block of Loch Loyal Drive tried to wake her son, who was unresponsive, Monday afternoon. Paramedics pronounced the son dead. The subject had a history of health problems. The medical examiner is investigating.

DEATH INVESTIGATION: A mother in the 1800 block of Griers Grove Road found her 2-month-old infant unresponsive Monday morning. The child was pronounced dead at a hospital. As is common in such cases, police are investigating.
