Should Harry Jones be fired?

The Charlotte Observer, in an editorial today that pulls no punches, says Mecklenburg County Manager Harry Jones must go.
“They blew it,” the newspaper said of county commissioners’ latest (failed) opportunity to
terminate Jones, who has been under attack in recent weeks for failing to disclose to commissioners a $60,000 settlement he struck with former mental health director Grayce Crockett.
Not only did he keep the full extent of the payout a secret from commissioners, he also allowed his underlings to misrepresent the nature of the payment when the Observer raised questions.
Jones has apologized and commissioners put a note his personnel file, saying they would consider his performance in his next evaluation.
Not good enough, the Observer says, listing a string of other infractions he has committed.
QUESTION: Do you believe Harry Jones should be fired or resign?
