Should marijuana be legal?

The Seattle Times shocked some of its readers last month when it called for the legalization of marijuana – becoming, perhaps, the first major U.S. newspaper to go that far.
“Like alcohol, most people can handle marijuana,” the editorial stated.
The editoral board then when on to list a litany of reasons why anti-marijuana laws have failed – mainly citing the costs of enforcement, incarceration and lost tax revenue.
“Some drugs have such horrible effects on the human body that the costs of prohibition may be worth it. Not marijuana,” the editorial stated “This state's experience with medical marijuana and Seattle's tolerance policy suggest that with cannabis, legalization will work — and surprisingly well.”
QUESTION: Do you think marijuana will be legalized in your lifetime? Would you support such a move?
