Thanksgiving Day parade will have a new route
The 2010 holiday season gets its official kickoff Thursday with Charlotte’s annual Thanksgiving Day parade.
Unlike in previous years, the route this year will be contained along Tryon Street, starting at 10th Street and ending at the Levine Center for the Arts at South Tryon.
The parade steps off at 10 a.m. WBTV (Channel 3) will televise the event at 4 p.m.
Last year, an estimated 110,000 people were uptown to see the floats, bands and other attractions.
