ROBBERY: Metal & Stone Jewelers, in the 1600 block of East Woodlawn Road, reported that it was robbed by two black males with a handgun shortly after 11 a.m. Friday. One of the suspects was dressed as a woman. The first suspect was described as being 20-22 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7, 170 pounds with close hair and a white T-shirt. The other suspect was described as being 20-22 years old and 170 pounds. He was dressed like a woman and wore a reddish-blond wig and makeup, according to the report

FIRE: CMPD was called to assist in a fire investigation in the 1200 block of Kelston Place shortly before 5:30 a.m. Friday. Arson investigators were on the scene.

BREAKING/ENTERING: Two black males, one armed with a handgun, forced their way into a home in the 3700 block of Sargeant Drive. No one was injured in the incident, which happed around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. The suspects fled in a vehicle with several items taken from the home.

ASSAULT W/DEADLY WEAPON: A man in the 1200 block of Moretz Avenue reported that he was shot in the leg shortly before 11 a.m. Thursday by unknown suspect(s) in a red Cadillac. The victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

ASSAULT W/DEADLY WEAPON: A man in the 6100 block of Cork Tree Court reported that he was grazed by a bullet after an altercation with a group of five black males shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday. The victim did not require medical treatment.

DEATH: A man was found dead in the 2000 block of Woodland Avenue shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday. Suicide was suspected.
