Good morning! Today, the weatherman is calling for sunshine and a few clouds with a high of 87°. A stray afternoon thunderstorm is possible and evening clouds will give way to mainly clear skies overnight. There is a slight chance of a shower through the evening with a low near 60°.

Not so patriotic music video banned from YouTube

You can find some of everything on YouTube from silly stunts to elderly people falling or tutorials on how to sew in a weave. But there is one video you will not find on the site - a music video for the song “Real Terrorism” by Hip-Hop icon and social-political activist KRS-One.

The song insists that as the nation mourns the lives of the thousands of Americans who died on 9/11, America continues to commit acts of terrorism in other countries and throughout the Middle East. YouTube is no stranger to questionable content but pulled the video stating that it was “too shocking for viewers.”

Rapper Greenie, who is featured on the song, says the ban is just an indication that YouTube, much like the rest of the country (in his opinion), has issues facing the truth. He says the photos used in the video are educational material depicting historic events. (Read more)

Did Michael Jackson have an escape plan?

Michael Jackson’s brother Jermaine revealed he had a plan to secretly fly his brother out of the country if Jackson had been found guilty of child molestation charges. In an interview with The Times Magazine, Jermaine said he had a private jet financed by a friend on standby to fly Michael away to the Persian Gulf state of Bahrain if he had been convicted at the end of his 2005 court case. He didn’t believe his brother could survive in prison. Bahrain does not have an extradition treaty with the US. Jermaine says his younger brother was unaware of the escape plot, but believes he would have agreed to flee to avoid going to jail. (Read more)
