Watch the president's speech relating to bin Ladin's death

In a televised address from the White house, President Barack Obama said the death of Osama bin Ladin marked the most significant achievement to date in the U.S. effort to combat global terrorism.

However, he warned that bin Laden’s death does not mark the end of U.S. efforts.

“There is no doubt that al-Qaida will continue to pursue attacks against us,” the president said. “We must and will remain vigilant at home and abroad.”
