Woman alleges discrimination after her hair is frisked

Laura Adiele said that after passing through the Advance Imaging system at the Sea-Tac airport in Washington, she was pulled out of the security line and told she needed a pat-down. Adiele says she thought she was getting her body patted down. So, she began assuming the position, turning around and putting her arms out. But to her surprise, the TSA agent explained that it was Adiele’s hair that needed to be examined. Adiele believes she was the victim of discrimination. Do you agree? Last Words
Humberto Leal was executed by lethal injection last night in Texas. He had bee
n charged with raping and murdering 16-year-old Adria Sauceda in 1994. The Associated Press reports that after repeatedly apologizing in the final moments of his life, the 38-year-old mechanic later told the warden he was ready. “Let’s get this show on the road,” Leal reportedly said as the drugs began taking effect. He also shouted “Viva Mexico!” The Obama administration and others had asked the U.S. Supreme Court to delay Leal’s execution, but the request was denied. (Read more here)

Mom turns her children over to police following robbery
A Wisconsin mom turned her children over to police after recognizing them as suspects in the raid of a gas station by a group of teenagers over the holiday weekend. “Kizzy” says she was watching footage of the raid on the news when she saw her 15-year-old son. After looking online, she found a picture of her 13-year-old daughter. "These are not the kind of kids that I'm raising to do stuff like this, and I feel like I put all my hard work and energy into my children, and for them to go out into the community and do things like that is just not acceptable," Kizzy said. At least four other suspects have been turned over to police. (Read more here)
