Woman stabbed to death in bar fight

   Antoinette Latoya Baker

A 30-year-old woman died early Sunday from stab wounds after a fight broke out among several women inside the bathroom of a restaurant and bar near Bank of America Stadium.

Police identified the victim as Antoinette Latoya Baker. Local media reported that she was the mother of at least six children.

According to initial police reports, the fight began inside Hartigan’s Irish Pub in the 600 block of S. Cedar Street then spread outside into a common area.

Police were called around 2:21 a.m. in response to a reported disturbance. When they arrived, the found Robinson lying unresponsive. She died a short time later at Carolinas Medical Center.

Police arrested 31-year-old Katie Nicole Robinson at the scene and charged her with murder. They did not offer a potential motive for the fight or killing but said the suspect and the victim did not know one another

Mecklenburg jail records show that Robinson had was arrested at least three times previously this year. Charges included communicating threats, making harassing phones calls, damage to personal property, breaking and entering and simple assault.
