Today marks a special occasion for Qcitymetro.com.
After month of planning, late Monday we launched QcityBride.com, our first sister site.
As the name implies, QcityBride is bridal site that celebrates the beauty and tradition of the African American wedding. But we invite couples of every race or nationality to share their love stories.
Although QcityBride is a separate website with its own Internet address, Qcitymetro readers may access the site via a new link on our homepage, and vice versa. This will allow readers to move effortlessly between the two.
So, why launch a bridal site?
Well, we wanted to offer a free alternative to couples who are rarely featured on other bridal sites. That’s right, I said FREE. There is no cost for couples to post their photos and stories on QcityBride. Simply email editor@qcitymetro.com.
We also wanted to provide a low-cost advertising alternative for photographers, caters and others involved in the wedding industry.
Finally, we believe that love stories simply make for fun and happy reading.
So, what do we need from you, or readers?
That’s easy: We need for you to help us spread the word.
Tell your friends, neighbors and co-workers about QcityBride. Invite your friends and relatives to share their wedding photos with our Qcity family. And if you are a wedding professional, email editor@qcitybride to learn more about our ad rates.
We also hope you will “like” us on Facebook and “follow” us on Twitter.
Above all, enjoy the new site, and let us know what you think.
